The truth about this primary

The primary election is only a few days away, and that’s when we see the worst of politicians and recently you may have seen some so-called “attack” ads. Frankly, I’m disappointed my opponent, backed by Chicago politicians, stooped to this level of lies and distortions.

Ronald Reagan always talked about the 11th amendment “Thou shalt not speak ill of any fellow Republican.” And I believe in that. So let me get to the facts:

• I have and always will support term limits

• I have been one of the most outspoken critics of Mike Madigan and his corrupt machine

• I have opposed pay raises for lawmakers and will take a voluntary 10 percent pay cut

The reason it’s important to get the truth out is because we need people of integrity representing us to fight the corruption in Springfield. Our families pay the price for that corruption with the highest property taxes in the nation, ever-increasing income taxes and billions in unpaid bills.

All the corruption in Illinois has an impact on our families and that’s why I am running for state representative. Don’t listen to the Chicago politicians. I am asking for your vote for state representative next Tuesday March 20.

Dwight Kay
